  1. Hot process fluid from your equipment enters the coils at the top of the tower.
  2. Simultaneously, a water distribution system sprays the evaporative water over the outside of these coils.
  3. Heat Transfer:
    1. The heat from the inside process fluid passes through the coil wall to the outside evaporative water film.
    1. A large fan draws ambient air across the wet coils.
    1. Evaporation of a small portion of the spray water removes the latent heat, efficiently cooling the remaining film of water on the coils.
  4. Cooled Output: The now-cooled process fluid inside the coils exits the tower and is pumped back to your equipment to absorb more heat.
  5. Water Collection: The spray water that did not evaporate falls into the basin below to be recirculated by the spray pump. A small bleed-off (blowdown) prevents mineral buildup, and fresh make-up water is added automatically.
