Types of Coils in Dry Cooling Towers
- A-Frame Coils: Common in large power plants (Air-Cooled Condensers). The coils are arranged in a steep “A” shape to maximize face area for air intake while minimizing the footprint.
- Flat Block Coils: Used in both forced-draft and induced-draft industrial towers. The coils are arranged in a vertical or horizontal block.
