A Fin Tube Heat Exchanger is a type of heat exchanger designed to maximize heat transfer efficiency between a fluid flowing inside tubes and a fluid (usually air or gas) flowing outside the tubes. It does this by adding fins to the exterior of the tubes, which dramatically increases the surface area available for heat exchange. This makes them exceptionally effective when one fluid is a gas that has a much lower heat transfer coefficient than a liquid.
