Evaporative Condenser vs. Evaporative Fluid Cooler
This is a critical distinction. While they look very similar, their function is different:
| Feature | Forced Draft Evaporative Condenser | Evaporative Fluid Cooler |
| What’s in the Coil? | Refrigerant (a phase-change fluid) | Process Fluid (water or glycol mix – a single-phase fluid) |
| Primary Function | Condense a vapor into a liquid. | Cool a liquid. |
| Heat Transfer | Latent Heat (of condensation) is rejected. | Sensible Heat is rejected (temperature drop). |
| System Type | Part of a refrigeration cycle. | Part of a process cooling or heat rejection loop. |
