Waste heat recovery units

Any exhaust gas stream with temperatures above 250°F has the potential for significant waste heat recovery. Consumers of waste heat energy can be found in almost any facility and are easy to locate.

Typical examples include plant process heating, combustion air pre-heating, boiler feedwater pre-heating, and building heat. In addition to savings in everyday fuel consumption, many facilities can market and sell carbon credits back to industry. State and / or federal funding is often available for waste heat recovery projects helping to reduce capital costs and expedite system payback.

Waste heat recovery units Features : –

  • Flexible Heat Recovery design either robust Steel ‘H’® or Lightweight spiral finned tube
  • Integral bypass design featuring proven Louvre damper design
  • Design to cater for heavy fouling environments
  • In-line Fin In-line Tube design adaptable to many applications
  • Exhaust Stack-Silencer designs integral to the WHRU

Benefits Waste heat recovery units : –

  • Smaller footprint for restricted applications
  • Proven Louvre Damper design in-house reducing complicated interfaces
  • Simple to install – Large transportable pieces
  • Robust and long-lasting low maintenance energy recovery surface
  • Straight gas passages – Low fouling easy to clean energy recovery surface

In the Up stream oil & gas segment the need for heating process fluid is required in Floating Production storage and off loading vessels (FPSO), Off shore Process platforms , On shore processing units . This is done by harnessing the waste Heat available in the exhaust gases leaving the Gas turbine generator (GTG) or the Process gas compressor drives (PGC).

The units are designed to comply with codes such as NR13, Pressure equipment directive (PED), API , ASME , GOST , NORSOK or Australian code. These units are very compact so that the foot print is small. The units are of removable type design often preferred for such applications. These units are designed to heat either thermic fluid, water, water glycol or regeneration gas.

Areas of installation : –

Units are working in very diverse locations such as Sakhalin island, Asian offshore Waters, North Sea, Africa off shore & the Americas
