Forced Draft is Preferred When:
- Maintenance accessibility is critical (tight spaces, low headroom).
- Noise restrictions exist (residential areas, hospitals).
- High static pressure systems (long duct runs, filters).
- Smaller capacities (< 500 tons).
- Examples: Small industrial plants, some packaged HVAC units.
Induced Draft is Preferred When:
- Energy efficiency is priority (most applications).
- Large capacities needed (> 500 tons).
- Cold climate operation.
- Limited plan area (compact design).
- Examples: Power plants, refineries, large commercial HVAC, data centers.
