Cooling Tower Design Types
- Induced Draft Counter Flow:
- Fan at the top (discharge side) draws air upward.
- Less risk of air recirculation; fan handles moist air (requires corrosion-resistant materials).
- Forced Draft Counter Flow:
- Fan at the bottom (air inlet) pushes air upward.
- Easier maintenance (fan handles dry air), but prone to air recirculation.
