Forced Draft Closed Circuit Cooling Tower
- Design: The fan(s) are located at the air inlet, pushing ambient air horizontally through the coil and fill (if present). The discharge air is expelled vertically.
- Characteristics:
- Fans and motors are at the base, accessible for maintenance.
- Generally more stable in high winds.
- Can recirculate moist discharge air back into the intake if not properly spaced.
- Common Configuration: Often seen in “V-Flow” or “Vertical Air Discharge” designs.
