Plate Heat Exchanger Manufacturer in Kuwait

Key Components of a Plate Heat Exchanger

  1. Plates: The core element. Typically made of stainless steel, titanium, or other alloys resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. The pattern and number of plates determine the heat transfer capacity.
  2. Gaskets: Seals the plates and defines the flow channels. They are usually made from synthetic polymers (like NBR, EPDM, Viton) chosen for their compatibility with the fluids and operating temperatures.
  3. Frame Plate (Head): The fixed end of the frame that holds the stack together.
  4. Pressure Plate (Follow Plate): The movable end of the frame. When tightened, it compresses the plate pack.
  5. Carrying Bar & Guide Bar: Support the plates and ensure they are aligned correctly during assembly.
  6. Tightening Bolts: Large bolts that compress the entire plate pack between the frame and pressure plates.
