Typical Applications
BPHEs are ubiquitous in applications where fluids are clean and space is limited:
- Refrigeration & Heat Pumps: As evaporators, condensers, and economizers. They are the standard for modern, efficient systems.
- Domestic Hot Water (DHW): Instantaneous water heaters and combi-boilers.
- District Heating: Transferring heat from the primary network to individual building secondary systems.
- Industrial Processes: Cooling hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, and other closed-circuit loops.
- Solar Thermal Systems: Transferring heat from the solar collector loop to the potable water storage tank.
