Hybrid Fill
As the name implies, this is a combination designed to get the “best of both worlds.”
- How it Works: A hybrid fill pack typically places a layer of splash fill on top of a layer of film fill.
- The upper splash section catches the incoming water, breaks it up, and helps to distribute it evenly while catching any large debris.
- The lower film section then performs the highly efficient cooling.
- Advantages:
- Good Clog Resistance: The splash layer acts as a pre-filter, protecting the sensitive film fill below.
High Efficiency: It still achieves most of the high-efficiency benefits of a full film fill.
