Air cooler

Air Cooler Overview:

Tipo are among the major Air Oil Cooler manufacturers and suppliers based in India. Our Air Oil cooler is used at the places where the required temperature of the oil is above ambient. Air Oil Cooler offered by us is equipped with a Fin & Tube type heat exchanger and an Axial Fan.

Generally Oil from the bleed line of the power pack is passed through the copper tube inner space and ambient air with the help of the axial fan is blown over these pipes effecting heat transfer. So generally the lowest possible temperature 0 is ambient dry bulb plus 10 C for the given capacity flow. Our Air Oil Cooler is also equipped.

Features Of Air Cooler : –
  • To maintain the oil sump temperature, where it is not very precise.
  • Units are equipped with a fin & tube heat exchanger & axial fan.
  • Air is passed over the exchanger external surface area and oil flows inside the tube from the bleed line of the power pack.
  • The temperature of the oil depends upon the ambient temperature.

Advantages of air-cooling:

  • Reduced running costs against water
  • No danger of cross-contamination
  • No secondary coolers required (cooling tower)
  • Very low maintenance and installation cost
  • High lifespan

Design features:

  • Cooler core easily removable for cleaning of fins
  • Impeller/motor arrangement are housed and protected inside a ducting
  • Cooler core all steel welded construction and hot dip galvanised
  • Very high fatigue strength and pressure resistance
  • Metallic bond between tubes and fins assures excellent heat transfer and rigidity of fins
  • High quality standards
Maintenance And Features Of Air Cooler : –
  • Machine tool machinery manufacturers
  • Plastic machinery / Product Manufactures
  • Laser cutting machinery manufacturers
  • Sand reclamation equipments in Foundries
  • EDM Wire cutting machine manufacturers
Advantages of using air coolers : –
  • Air is always available.
  • Maintenance cost normally less than for water cooled systems.
  • In event of power failure they can transfer some heat because of natural convection.
  • Mechanical design is normally simpler due to pressure on air side always being closer to atmospheric.
  • Fouling on air side can normally be ignored.
  • No problem arising from thermal & chemical pollution of cooling fluids.
Disadvantages of air coolers : –
  • Noise – Low noise fans are reducing this problem but at cost of fan efficiency & hence higher energy costs.
  • May need special features for cold weather protection (high pour point liquids freezes in cold weather).
  • Can not cool to same low temperature as cooling tower.
